As part of its ongoing series of profiles of OSI-Baltimore’s 2016 cohort of Community Fellows, WYPR’s “On the Record,” hosted by Sheilah Kast, recently profiled Jennifer Will-Thapa and Jermaine Bell.

Jennifer will develop the Common Ground Youth Farm Project during her Fellowship. The project will provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and personal development to young people in Baltimore City who are involved in the juvenile justice system. She’ll work in partnership with Walker Marsh at Tha Flower Factory, an urban farm in East Baltimore, for the 20-week growing season.

For Jermaine’s Fellowship, he’ll work with Exit the Apple, a creative space for artists located in the Barclay neighborhood, to continue the work he started at Impact Hub. There Bell worked to create a community of support for artists of color with innovative programming designed to connect the community with local artists.

Listen to previous shows featuring OSI’s 2016 Community Fellows, Melissa Badeker, Isa Olufemi, and Kate Miller.
