As part of its ongoing series of profiles of OSI-Baltimore’s 2016 cohort of Community Fellows, WYPR’s “On the Record,” hosted by Sheilah Kast, profiled Isa Olufemi and Katie Miller on today’s show.

As part of his Fellowship, Olufemi is founding the Poet Pride Run Club at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. The running club combines physical fitness with school pride, personal growth, and college preparation. He’s also organizing an Umoja (Unity) Run on Dec. 26th, the first day of Kwanzaa.

For her Fellowship, Miller will work in partnership with We are CASA to establish the Latino Food Alliance, an effort to increase engagement and participation in initiatives related to food access and food justice among Baltimore’s Latino immigrant community.

As Isa’s always saying, “Lets Grow!”
