Edward C. Bernard

Senior Advisor, T. Rowe Price Group, Inc.; OSI-Baltimore Board Member

Ed Bernard serves as senior advisor to T. Rowe Price, Group, Inc. He was vice chairman of the Board of Directors of T. Rowe Price Group from 2007 to April 2019. He served as chairman of the T. Rowe Price Mutual Funds from 2006 until July 2018. Mr. Bernard was a member of the Management Committee and was responsible for the firm’s global distribution, client service, technology, legal, and compliance activities. Mr. Bernard was also the CEO of T. Rowe Price International Ltd, the firm’s UK-based investment manager, from 2011 – 2018. 

Mr. Bernard’s investment experience began in 1988 and he spent his entire career with T. Rowe Price. In addition to his responsibilities at T. Rowe Price, Mr. Bernard served as chairman of the Board of Governors of the Investment Company Institute from 2009 to 2011 and served on the Board and Executive Committee until 2018.  Ed Bernard currently serves as a board member for UTI Asset Management Company and he is on the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.  Ed is also the Chairman of the Asset Management Advisory Committee for the Securities and Exchange Commission.

 

Mr. Bernard earned his B.A. from Brown University and his M.B.A. from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
