COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Program

OSI-Baltimore invested nearly $2 million in direct response to the COVID-19 and its economic fallout. This included $1 million in direct financial and other emergency support for Baltimore workers hardest hit by the pandemic and at greatest risk of falling into extreme hardship, including those who are unemployed and the formerly incarcerated, and $750,000 in rapid-response funding for at-risk populations.

OSI-Baltimore partnered with Baltimore City, leveraging $6 million in public funding to distribute $400 prepaid cards to up to 15,000 Baltimore City residents hardest hit by COVID-19 and its economic impact. OSI supported 13 community based organizations to facilitate distribution of the emergency resource.

Associated Catholic Charities, Inc.+

$20,000 over six months to facilitate the distribution of financial assistance to Baltimore City residents who are struggling to meet basic food and household needs due to COVID-19.

Banner Neighborhoods Community Corporation+

$25,000 over six months to facilitate the distribution of financial assistance to Baltimore City residents who are struggling to meet basic food and household needs due to COVID-19.

Bon Secours Baltimore Health System Foundation+

$20,000 over six months to facilitate the distribution of financial assistance to Baltimore City residents who are struggling to meet basic food and household needs due to COVID-19.

CASA de Maryland+

$20,000 over six months to facilitate the distribution of financial assistance to Baltimore City residents who are struggling to meet basic food and household needs due to COVID-19.

Center for Urban Families+

$30,000 over six months to facilitate the distribution of financial assistance to Baltimore City residents who are struggling to meet basic food and household needs due to COVID-19.

City of Refuge+

$20,000 over six months to facilitate the distribution of financial assistance to Baltimore City residents who are struggling to meet basic food and household needs due to COVID-19.

Elev8 Baltimore+

$25,000 over six months to facilitate the distribution of financial assistance to Baltimore City residents who are struggling to meet basic food and household needs due to COVID-19.

Historic East Baltimore Community Action Coalition+

$20,000 over six months to facilitate the distribution of financial assistance to Baltimore City residents who are struggling to meet basic food and household needs due to COVID-19.

Job Opportunities Task Force+

$20,000 over six months to facilitate the distribution of financial assistance to Baltimore City residents who are struggling to meet basic food and household needs due to COVID-19.

Urban Strategies+

$30,000 over six months to facilitate the distribution of financial assistance to Baltimore City residents who are struggling to meet basic food and household needs due to COVID-19.
