This Saturday, October 28, the Baltimore Dance Crews Project (BDCP), founded by 2015 OSI Community Fellow Brian Gerardo, will hold its 4th Annual Community Jam at the UA House at Fayette. The event pairs Baltimore students with experienced dance mentors and teams will compete in freestyle dance battles throughout the day.

Gerardo used his fellowship to expand BDCP, developing the Young Teaching Artist Institute where high school dancers who had been performing with BDCP for more than two years. Dancers received training that prepared them to lead BDCP workshops throughout Baltimore City.
