On Saturday September 17th from 9am to 1pm, the Baltimore Entrepreneur and Leadership Network (BELN) will host an opportunity for emerging local entrepreneurs and leaders to get to know each other, learn about incubators, accelerators, fellowships and academic programs, and connect with financial and legal experts that can help them along in their work.

OSI-Baltimore is a co-convener of BELN, which, as described on its website, “is a group of leaders of social entrepreneurship and leadership programs serving Baltimore. BELN’s mission is to support organizations that help aspiring and existing entrepreneurs and leaders develop their knowledge, skills, connections and access to resources, with the overarching goal of building on the assets of, and responding to the challenges facing, underserved Baltimore residents and communities.”

Among the resource experts confirmed to attend:

  • Jennifer Clark, Deputy Director, Social Innovation and Leadership at Baltimore Corps
  • Maggie Gunther Osborne, President and CEO, Maryland Philanthropic Network
  • Gabe OMaru, Business Consultant, Maryland Small Business and Technology and Development Center
  • Jennifer Smith-Funn, Regional Director Baltimore City/ Baltimore County Maryland Small Business Development Center

The event will take place at Towson University’s StarTUp Accelerator at the Armory, 307 Washington Avenue in Towson. There’s no charge to attend, but you need to register. A continental breakfast will be provided at 9am and a box lunch at 12pm. Click here to get more information and to register.
