Matt Hanna, a 2013 OSI Community Fellow and founder youth mentorship organization Next One Up, announced plans to move the organization into the large, high-profile space in Belvedere Square formerly occupied by Brick Bodies gym.

Since Hanna, a former captain of Johns Hopkins University’s lacrosse team and professional lacrosse player, founded Next One Up during his OSI Fellowship, the organization has mentored hundreds of young people, combining academic, social, and leadership development with sports and athletic development. Hanna says the new space with allow the organization to expand its services and the number of students it serves.

“The mission will remain the same,” Hanna told the Baltimore Business Journal. “It is based on what students will do when school is out. When our space at Belvedere Square is built out, it will focus on career readiness with STEM, robotics and IT classes. We will also have a gym so the students can work out each day they are there.”
