WBAL-TV featured 2020 OSI Community Fellow Ateira Griffin and her organization, Building Our Nations Daughters (BOND), in its story about organizations supporting families in need over Thanksgiving. BOND, an organization focused on cultivating strong relationships between mothers and daughters, specifically in single-parent homes. is providing full Thanksgiving dinners to more than 300 families.

“We have 312 baskets that will be going to single-parent families across Baltimore City, touching just about every ZIP code to make sure that they have a warm meal and feel cared for by the community,” Griffin said. “I was raised by a single mom, and so I saw how much it helped me as a young person when she had the support that she needed to take care of her household, to make sure that she had food on the table.”
