Yesterday, OSI and partners including Black Girls Vote, Common Cause Maryland, the League of Women Voters, Baltimore Votes, and other groups hosted the first of two webinars to explain the current situation regarding voting by mail for the upcoming special election in Maryland’s 7th District to replace Rep. Elijah Cummings. Nykidra Robinson from Black Girls Vote and Tierra Bradford from Common Cause Maryland facilitated the webinar.

While Maryland’s Primary Election has been postponed to June 2nd, the special election must be held on April 28th because of a Constitutional time limit to fill the site and will be conducted entirely by mail. At least 130 people participated in the webinar between Zoom and Facebook Live.

You can view yesterday’s webinar here and sign up for another webinar on the same topic tonight, Thursday, April 2nd, tonight at 6:30 pm here.

Go to Baltimore Votes’ Election 2020 page for more information and to make sure the Board of Elections has the correct address to send your ballot.
