Ava Pipitone, a 2018 OSI Community Fellow and founder of HostHome, is featured in Baltimore magazine’s June cover story on the “Faces of Pride.” HostHome is an emergency LGBTQ housing network.

“Trans people have been doing the work,” she says in the magazine. “The legal support, the jail support, the emotional community support. And it’s always cisgender, non-trans, white mostly men who get the credit.”

Sean Scheidt photographed Pipitone with Jamie Grace Alexander, community director of the Baltimore Trans Alliance, in the picture above, which appears in the June issue of Baltimore magazine, on newsstands now and available online June 3rd.
