From May 31 to June 2, FORCE: Upsetting Rape Culture, an organization co-founded by 2015 OSI-Baltimore Community Fellow Hannah Brancato, will blanket the National Mall with 3,000 stories from survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence. Open Society Foundations is proud to be the premier sponsor for the Monument Quilt. Please come out to bear witness to survivors’ stories and healing, and show your public support.

As part of the event, FORCE will host a Survivor Policy Convening on non-carceral solutions to sexual and intimate partner violence, Saturday June 1, from 1 to 5p.m., also on the National Mall, at 12th St. Details are FORCE’s website, RSVP to the event on Facebook.

FORCE is looking for volunteers throughout the weekend. If you can help, or if you can spread the word about this call to action to your organization, the sign up form is here.

They are also looking for volunteer help this weekend as they prepare the survivor’s quilts for the event – at Memorial Episcopal Church Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The details are here.

Lots of love and gratitude!
