On Thursday evening at West Baltimore’s Union Baptist Church, the OSI-funded Campaign for Justice, Safety, and Jobs hosted a People’s Town Hall to discuss the progress of implementing the Consent Decree and what community members would like to see in a new police commissioner, among other topics.

After small-group discussions, some participants suggested that the new police commissioner should be a woman, that they should come from Baltimore City, and/or that they should speak a second language. Others suggested that the whole force complete anti-racism training.
