The 2017 cohort of OSI Community Fellows gathered at the Jubilee Arts building in West Baltimore yesterday morning for their monthly gathering to learn more about each others’ projects and share ideas on issues and challenges that arise. At each of the monthly gatherings, all ten Fellows in the cohort offer and update and two give a full presentation.

This month, Kim Loper talked about her project, the Youth in Business Design Collective, which grew out of her work, which grew out of her work as an Americorps Fellow at Jubilee Arts. And former teacher Jackie Bello described the path that led her to co-found Dent Education, which brings “design education” to after-school and summer programs.

Pictured above at the gathering, left to right, are 2017 Community Fellows Bello, Eric Jackson, Loper, Ausar Daniels, and Munib Lohrasbi.
