Through her work as program director of Baltimore’s ShareBaby Baby Pantry, 2016 OSI Community Fellow Eliseba Osore has spearheaded efforts to collect diapers and other needed items to victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

As WJZ reported this week, ShareBaby partnered with Wee Chic Baby Boutique in Lutherville, which also donated 10 percent of its weekend sales to relief efforts.

Osore talked about the dire need for childcare products, which are not covered by public assistance programs, throughout the year.

“When there’s a situation like a hurricane or another natural disaster, that need becomes even greater,” Osore said. “Because families have lost their resources. Monetary and actual material resources.”

WBAL also reported on the drive.
