Evan Serpick is Program Manager for Communications and Narrative Change at Open Society Institute-Baltimore. He previously served as the editor of Baltimore’s weekly City Paper, where he expanded the paper’s investigative reporting and oversaw award-winning coverage of the Baltimore Uprising, local politics, policing, and development. Serpick has held a range of journalism positions, including associate editor for Rolling Stone and senior editor for Baltimore magazine, and has contributed to The New York Times, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and The Forward.
He is a graduate of Columbia University’s School of General Studies and School of Journalism.
